Snuggles
A pair of great horned owls nest in the same cottonwood tree every year. I make a point to visit during late April and May to catch a glimpse of the baby owls. They had been getting braver and braver each time I’d gone. On this visit, the fledglings flew from their nesting tree to a rooftop where they proceeded to hang out with each other. The sun was golden upon them as they snuggled and groomed each other. Notice their young, downy feathers that are fluffing in the breeze. I was able to get a series of them perched on this rooftop. I was able to get a series of them perched on this rooftop. This photo pairs well with ‘Kisses’ and ‘The Great Stare Down.’
